History:
Country True Value was founded in 1978 by three brothers from North Greenbush, NY. There was one store then but business soon expanded. The company was moved a few years later into a larger building where it currently sits on the northern end of Route 4. In 1989 a second store was added and is currently still operating at the opposite end of Route 4. Hardware, power equipment, home improvement products, etc. were the main items sold throughout the stores.
In 2004 Country True Value ventured into the equipment rental industry under the Just Ask Rental label. Both stores are now fully operational rental stores within a hardware store. Quality products and high customer service coupled with a family atmosphere have been the cornerstones of the business since its inception. The natural family atmosphere that was created back then has only grown stronger over the past few decades and will continue to thrive in the future with oncoming generations ready to continue to deliver the outstanding products, service, and reliability that has helped Country True Value blossom after all these years. True Value is not just our name its our way of doing business.
